Project Description

The Virginia Nature Institute (VNI) branding draws inspiration from the state butterfly, the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, with its vibrant yellow and black color palette. This choice symbolizes the dynamic beauty of Virginia’s natural environment, reflecting the institute’s mission to study and foster a connection between humans and nature. The updated logo utilizes negative space to create a modern, open mark that symbolizes the interconnectedness of nature, while the bold color scheme contrasts energy and sophistication, grounding the design with a sense of purpose.

Visual assets such as posters, business cards, and social media templates were also included to show the versatility of the institute's branding. This cohesive visual identity blends contemporary design with the natural world, ensuring that VNI’s mission resonates with both scientific audiences and the general public.
